Chief Dull Knife College President Richard Littlebear (Northern Cheyenne) to Champion Native Languages at UMontana
Thursday, September 15 at 4:00 PM, Richard Littlebear – president and interim dean of cultural affairs at Chief Dull Knife College (Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation) who taught himself how to read and write Cheyenne – will present “The Challenges of Native American Bilingualism” in Law Building Room 101 at the University of Montana. The talk is sponsored by the UM President’s Office, as part of the Native American Studies Stott Lecture Series. He holds degrees from Bethel College and Montana State University, with a doctorate in Education from Boston University, for a sample of his thoughts, click here.
